Afrika Eye Festival and Rising Arts presents Rocks – A 2019 joyful coming-of-age drama directed by Sarah Gavron.
As a popular black British teenage girl with a little brother who adores her, Rocks (Bukky Bakray) has big dreams for the future whilst living in Hackney. But her world is turned upside down when her mother suddenly leaves and she is forced to find ways in which to avoid her and her brother being taken into care.
This screening of Rocks will be followed by a Q&A curated by Rising Arts who are a Bristol-based not-for-profit that exists to support 16-25 year-olds with creative ambitions.
