Zimbabwean musician Anna Mudeka brings a vibrant workshop to Trinity Centre as part of her international tour of the thought-provoking live show Kure Kure / Faraway.
Learn Zimbabwean mbira music of the ancestors, master clapping mbira rhythms, sing songs, try ululating and dance in Mudeka’s family-friendly participatory workshop.
Suitable for all ages and abilities, this workshop will give you a taste of the vibrant heart of Zimbabwean music and performance in an uplifting, re-energising and soul-fulfilling experience.

Anna Mudeka
Anna Mudeka came from Zimbabwe to Norfolk in 1994. From a musical family, she had already performed with some of the giants of world music such as Thomas Mapfumo. She is the organizer of the Southburgh Festival of World Music which is held in Norfolk, UK. The festival raises money for the Mudeka Foundation, a charity that seeks to provide AIDS orphans and disadvantaged children in Zimbabwe with an opportunity for an education.
In 2013 she won the Most Influential Woman in Business and Government in Africa in the Arts and Culture section.
